Terms of Service
Last updated: July 15, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the synthosoft.app website and the Digital Workspace product family, including the Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook add-ins and any associated license keys, seats, or subscriptions (together, the “Services”), provided by SynthoCore Automation Inc., operating as “SynthoSoft” (“SynthoSoft,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By purchasing, installing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Services
Digital Workspace is licensed, not sold. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services during an active subscription, subject to these Terms and the plan you purchase.
2. Individual plan
- Licensed to a single named user for personal or business use.
- May be activated on a limited number of devices at a time (currently two); a device can be unregistered at any time from within the add-in to free up an activation.
- Billed monthly or annually in advance through our payment processor and merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Ltd (or its applicable local Paddle group entity, together "Paddle"). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
3. Corporate plan
- Licensed on a seat basis to the organization identified at checkout by its Microsoft 365 Tenant ID.
- The number of concurrently active seats is hard-limited to the quantity purchased; additional seats may be added at any time by adjusting the subscription quantity.
- Deployed by the customer's IT administrator through the Microsoft 365 admin center (Centralized Deployment / Integrated Apps). SynthoSoft does not require, and will not request, a Global Administrator's credentials.
- The organization is responsible for managing which users within its tenant have access to the deployed add-ins.
4. Billing, renewal, and cancellation
All payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record and handles payment processing and applicable sales tax/VAT. Prices are shown on our pricing page in your local currency where supported (USD, CAD, EUR, and GBP), converted and charged by Paddle at its own live rates — we do not set or apply currency conversion ourselves. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the authenticated Paddle customer portal, accessible from inside any SynthoSoft add-in via Settings → Manage subscription (see Manage your subscription), and a link is also included in your purchase confirmation email. If a scheduled payment fails, Paddle will attempt to retry the charge and notify the billing contact; if payment ultimately cannot be collected, the associated license is deactivated and the Services stop functioning for that license until payment succeeds or a new subscription is started. We do not offer partial-period refunds except where required by law or at our discretion.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to bypass the licensing/activation mechanism of the Services; share a single Individual-plan license across more people than the plan permits; resell or sublicense the Services without our written agreement; or use the Services in a way that violates applicable law.
6. Your data and documents
Your Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook documents remain in your own Microsoft 365 tenant at all times. The Services act on that content within your active session to perform the action you request; we do not copy your documents to SynthoSoft-operated servers. See our Privacy Policy for details on what limited account and diagnostic information we do collect.
7. Intellectual property
SynthoSoft and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Services, including all software, templates, calculators, and reference content provided as part of Digital Workspace. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets.
8. Disclaimers
The engineering calculators, reference tables, and templates included in the Services are provided as productivity aids and reference tools. They do not replace the professional judgment, review, and sign-off of a qualified engineer. THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, EXCEPT WHERE SUCH DISCLAIMERS ARE NOT PERMITTED BY LAW.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYNTHOSOFT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or misuse. You may stop using the Services and cancel your subscription at any time through the customer portal.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above; continued use of the Services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
