Add-in showing "not licensed"? It's almost always an email mismatch — the one-click fix in the section below takes about 10 seconds.
How your identity works
Your SynthoSoft access is tied to the Microsoft account you sign into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Outlook with — not to a separate username or password. This is intentional: it means there's nothing extra to remember, and access follows you automatically to any device where you're signed into Office.
Fixing an email mismatch
If you purchased using a personal email (like an iCloud or Gmail address) that's different from the Microsoft account you actually use in Office, the add-in won't unlock automatically until the two are connected. This is the single most common setup question we get, and it takes about 10 seconds to fix:
- Open the confirmation email you received right after purchasing.
- Click "Connect my Microsoft account."
- Sign in with the Microsoft account you actually use in Office.
Managing your subscription
Open any SynthoSoft add-in and go to Settings → Manage subscription, or use the link in your confirmation email. Both take you to your Paddle customer portal, where you can:
- Update your payment method
- Switch between monthly and annual billing
- View past invoices
- Cancel any time — no phone call or email required
Corporate billing
Corporate subscriptions are billed through your organization's Microsoft invoice, based on seats assigned in the Microsoft 365 admin center. Your finance/procurement team manages this the same way as any other Microsoft AppSource purchase — SynthoSoft doesn't separately bill individual employees.
Payment issues
If a scheduled payment fails, Paddle automatically retries a few times and emails the billing contact. If it ultimately can't be collected, access pauses until it's resolved — nothing is deleted, and access resumes automatically once payment succeeds.
